As everyone would already be knowing, Election ID card is a very important individual document, the primary purpose of which, is to enable the card holder to caste vote during Elections. It also serves as a valid ID Proof and Address Proof for various official purposes. The process of obtaining a new one or making corrections in an already existing card, was very tedious, involving a lot of visits to Village / Taluk offices in person. All that has now changed, thanks to the online Electoral Roll Verification and Voter Registration facility available in the website of the Chief Electoral Officer, Kerala.

This is one of the best e-Governance initiatives of the Govt. of Kerala to digitize the registration information of citizens across the 1000+ of local self government institutions of the state. It covers all the Panchayaths (Gram, Block and District), Municipality and Corporations across the state with Birth, Death and Marriage Certificates. Even though various local self government institutions (തദ്ദേശ സ്വയം ഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ) are at different levels in their progress of digitization, this still should provide an appreciable amount of help to the common people.
View and Pay Electricity Bill

Most of us would have had faced hardships standing in the long queue in front of electricity offices to pay our bill on time. Not anymore. KSEB has taken the e-route finally. The facility was launched in April 2013 and has already received good response from consumers. There is debit, credit and net banking options to facilitate online payment with only a nominal service charge.
